The LIGHTEN UP Gift of Health
A Win-Win Wellness Program for Companies,
Employees and our Global Community
Roslyn Franken, proud cancer survivor, motivational speaker and author
of The A List: 9 Guiding Principles for Healthy Eating and
Positive Living, invites companies world-wide to join the LIGHTEN UP Gift of Health revolution.
This NEW thinking outside the gift-box campaign
is helping organizations world-wide take employee wellness, personal development and
business results to a new level - a win-win solution for companies, employees and the
greater global community. How? By mixing education, motivation and philanthropy, Franken intends to engage corporations across North America and abroad about the benefits of positive living and healthy eating by reaching them at their top sources of employee stress; the workplace and work/life balance.
Roslyn Franken was born to a mother who survived the concentration
camps of Nazi Germany and a father who survived the atomic bomb as a
Japanese Prisoner of War in Nagasaki, Japan.
Diagnosed with cancer at age 29, Roslyn quickly learned that she inherited
her parents' “never give up” attitude as she successfully fought back to become a long-term cancer survivor and an acclaimed author, speaker, radio host and personal coach. Then age 39, at her heaviest weight and concerned for
her health, Roslyn decided to fight back once again… only this time to
overcome her battles with food, weight and life balance challenges, once and for all!
Her experiences led to the creation of the 9 proven principles that changed her
life as shared in her bookThe A List: 9 Guiding Principles for Healthy Eating and
Positive Living Roslyn, in her crusade to help people lighten up to the importance of health and positive living, has decided to go after some of the biggest sources: job stress and work/life balance.
Job stress has been identified by the World Health
Organization as a worldwide epidemic. It is estimated that 40% of worker turnover is due to job stress. Job stress is a major factor in the use of employee absenteeism, turnover, disability and low job satisfaction. Job stress has been shown to cause backaches, migraines , obesity, substance abuse, heart disease, stroke, anxiety and depression. Declining employee health means rising health care costs to companies. It also translates to lowered job performance, leadership effectiveness, team morale and customer service, all of which will present yet greater costs to a company's bottom line.
With the challenging economic times we are in
and the rising costs of group healthcare to companies, it is now more important than ever
for companies to recognize the importance of supporting employee health and well-being.
To re-enforce Roslyn's positive living and healthy lifestyle principles, companies can:
- Book Roslyn for
speaking engagements, workshops and coaching to help guide, support and motivate executives and employees at all levels on their journey to a healthier, happier and more balanced life.
- Provide copies of The A List book or Audio CD program for: New employee packages; Corporate employee
give-a-ways; Appreciation gifts; Corporate fundraising charity initiatives; Health and
wellness HR initiatives
- Become a corporate sponsor for Roslyns LIGHTEN UP speaking, book and media tours across North America
and connect their corporate brand to her audiences while enhancing company image. Sponsorship proposal is available upon request.
” I am a firm believer that if you can make a difference in more than one way at one time, then you are accomplishing great things,” says Roslyn Franken. A portion of the proceeds from the LIGHTEN UP campaign will be donated to the Global Fund for Children.
Roslyn owns and operates Roslyn Franken Group, a company dedicated to guiding, supporting and inspiring individuals and groups who want to lighten up for a healthy, happy life through the practices of healthy eating and positive living, using the insights she developed and now shares in The A List's 9 guiding principles.
