JOE: Avid golfer sheds
over 20 lbs to go under the knife and improve his golf game Joes doctor recommended that he lose some weight prior to
having his two knee replacements. Fortunately, his wife brought him to one of Roslyn
Frankens speaking engagements. He then enrolled in her counseling program to see if
what she said had any merit. Hed been on a number of diet programs in the past with
little success.
Joe learned that there are many reasons why people eat,
only one of which is hunger. With Roslyns counseling and support, Joe has learned to
think about why he makes the food choices he makes. He has learned to look at what he is
about to eat in terms of the nutritional value and to decide wisely on his portion size.

Using these guidelines seems to have worked for
me. In two months, Ive lost 20 pounds, have more energy, dropped 5 strokes from my
golf game, and really feel much better. The really nice thing about Roslyns program
is that you can still eat regularly, you can still occasionally have treats,

diet, rather Im just making conscious decisions on when, what and why I eat.

YOLISA: Chooses to face
health issues head on Yolisa,
student, age 42, was overweight and uncomfortable in her own skin. Having nearly died
after a diabetic coma, Yolisa decided that there is nothing more important to her now than
her health and having a positive self-esteem. She no longer wanted to be controlled by
food and wanted to love herself instead. She recognized that if she didnt actively
work hard at her weight she would lose her health and quality of life. Although she
started out working with Roslyn feeling unsure of herself whether she could really create

GWEN: Investing in your
self in retirement Gwen
came to see Roslyn eager to shed the 25 pounds she had put on since her retirement. One of
the biggest challenges of leaving her routine desk job was adapting to new eating habits.
When she used to go to work each day, she would typically have breakfast, lunch and dinner
at roughly the same times each day. She planned her meals and stuck to a routine. When she
retired, she suddenly found that the routine of work was taken away from her and she no
longer had a routine set of activities to occupy her day. Spending more time at home she
found herself eating at different times in the day, snacking more often and bringing foods
into the house that werent there before. By the time she had come to see Roslyn she
was determined to shed the excess weight and rediscover her passion for life. She wanted

MARIE: Pregnancy causes
healthy shift in attitudes toward food and inner self Since she was a little girl, Marie has always battled with her
weight and her relationship with food. For the last 20 years, her goal, her obsession has
been to lose weight. Shes read most of the books, tried all the diets out there and
went from success to failure to success and back again to failure. She was on a never
ending rollercoaster with her weight and with her health.
She and her husband decided they wanted to start a family
